Koidu Holdings SA is continuously involved in the improvement of roads and infrastructure in and around Koidu.
We provide a service to the community by grading the dirt roads, which become severely potholed during the rainy season.
In addition, the Company provides tailings for road surfacing, free of charge, in an attempt to improve the quality and durability of the roads in future.
Official requests from various sectors, including the UN, the police and traditional authorities, for tailings and waste rock for construction and maintenance are accommodated by Koidu Holdings SA.
Completion of the Tongo-Koidu road refurbishment program has effectively re-opened trade between these two major population centres. Small villages along route that previously had little or no contact with the other parts of the country are beginning to benefit from the flow of traffic and trade. |
